Extreme close-up photograph of a thistle bloom taken at our family ranch - Sweet Lucy Ranch in Lampasas, Texas. One of the themes that consistently intrigues me while pursuing macro photography is the different patterns that are found in nature. And I find that black and white photography helps strip an image down to the basics of these patterns.
